I consider it amusing to visit the notion of what a “standard” motorbike is. The trend toward specialization has resulted in greater and greater segmentations and sub-segmentations of motorcycles over the decades. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying this is a bad thing. The consumer ultimately wins on this, if he/she can survive the dizzying array of available bikes. THAT FAMOUS MOTO GUZZI ENGINE
Moto Guzzi is a fine Italian motorcycle manufacturer, creating motorbikes since 1921. Moto Guzzi bikes are easily distinguished by their V-twin engines that have “transverse” cylinder heads that stick out, quite noticeably on each side of the bike.
Note: the Guzi cylinder heads are angled upward. Not to be confused with BMW’s air-cooled, horizontally-opposed, cylinder heads, which project straight out from each side of the bike.
