IS A MOTORCYCLE REALLY A MOTORCYCLE WITH A WINDSCREEN?
That question may have been more topical a few decades ago, but windscreens are pretty common nowadays on cruisers, sport bikes, dual-purpose bikes, adventure-touring bikes, sport-tourers, touring bikes, and more. Whether they be very small and discreet, such as on a variety of motorbikes, or whether it be a full sail, such as on a Honda Gold Wing.

If you have ridden any distance on a motorbike with and without wind protection, you’ll appreciate that you can ride farther and more comfortably depending upon how much wind resistance you’re knocking away from your body with a windscreen.

Riding against hours of wind resistance is fatiguing! Riding without a windscreen is not a big deal at slow speeds and/or doing errands around town. But crank open that throttle or put a bunch of miles under you and that pleasant wind-in-your-face sensation (at slow speeds) turns into a hurricane force working to pry your fingers from your handlebars to create a spectacular cartwheel effect of rider and bike, for anyone in the area to observe.

Additionally, windscreens keep the rider dryer in wet weather and warmer in cooler weather. Of course, they certainly don’t create the effect of being cocooned in a car during a cold rainstorm, but particularly for motorcyclists who really like to put on some miles, you are very aware that every bit of inclement weather just makes the moderate and benign conditions all the more enjoyable.

Want to gain more enjoyment for longer rides? Get a windscreen.

COMPARE MOTORCYCLE WINDSCREENS FOR ALL BIKES:
