“WHOOPS WEIGHT-LOSS DIET” FOR DIRTBIKE RIDERS

Riding “Whoop-de-doos” (”whoops” for short), is the best way to lose weight and gain energy fast. Think about it: How many competitive, overweight dirtbike riders have you seen bouncing over those rows of dirt mounds (or moguls) on certain dirtbike tracks?

Deftly handling whoops is one of the most difficult obstacles on many dirt tracks, as timing, throttle control and body positioning are all crucial to keeping yourself from looking like a cowboy thrown far and wide off a bronco.

Motorcycle dirtbikes and whoops go together like apple pie and moms. But the best part is you can eat all the apple pie you want and not have to worry about gaining weight!

And by the way, in case you are packing on a few pounds more than you prefer before you take up the “Whoops Weight-Loss Diet,” just be sure to get yourself a good kidney belt. Not only does it hold your guts together as you’re ripping up the dirt, it keeps you lookin’ slimmer, even before the full benefits of the “Whoops Weight-Loss Diet” take effect.

In real simple terms, a motorcycle kidney belt keeps your innards from shaking around while also supporting your lower back. When I put mine on, I typically pull in my gut, tighten the wide kidney belt, and lock the hook and loop (Velcro) fasteners and close my jacket on top.

Although I was introduced to kidney belts by way of dirt bike riding (many, many moons ago), I took the simple little device to the street as well. The back support gained by use of a kidney belt maintains my comfort for many more miles and hours than not using one.

If you haven’t added a motorcycle kidney belt to your arsenal of riding gear, check one out. You’ll probably never leave home without it!

(Disclaimer: Weight-loss not guaranteed, but you will “look” slimmer! And if you don’t enjoy a boost in energy from riding a motorcycle, you’re probably too old to get a boost of energy from anything).
