THAT FAMOUS MOTO GUZZI ENGINE
Moto Guzzi is a fine Italian motorcycle manufacturer, creating motorbikes since 1921. Moto Guzzi bikes are easily distinguished by their V-twin engines that have “transverse” cylinder heads that stick out, quite noticeably on each side of the bike.
Note: the Guzi cylinder heads are angled upward. Not to be confused with BMW’s air-cooled, horizontally-opposed, cylinder heads, which project straight out from each side of the bike.
Although Moto Guzzi does not have an extensive dealer network in North America, at one time, they were the largest motorbike maker in Italy (1930s until the 1960s), so they are prominent in Europe.
The Moto Guzzi culture includes a large segment of its riders who are quite passionate about their motorcycle. Should you strike up a conversation with a Guzi owner, most likely, he/she will engage in an enthusiast conversation about it.
Amazon.com provides plenty of MOTO GUZZI MOTORCYCLE BOOKS.
Additionally, you can click here for an independent video review of the MOTO GUZZI NORGE 1200 motorcycle and admire their cylinder head configuration.
